The Nike Air Mags set a world record this weekend at a collectible sneaker auction.

The Nike Self-lacing Air Mags, inspired by the shoes worn by Marty McFly in the 1989 flick “Back to the Future II” and made to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation, sold for an incredible $52,500 at an auction on Sunday.

Heritage Auctions, which sold the 2016 commemorative kicks, said the price shattered the previous record by $20,000.

Only 89 pairs of the Air Mags were made available to the public through an online draw back in October. Each ticket amounted to a $10 donation to the foundation. 100 percent of the profits was to help fund research for Parkinson’s disease.
