(New York) — FILA continues to update its classic silhouettes from the 80’s and 90’s to fit with today’s consumer. Earlier this month FILA updated the 1993 classic Overpass runner and in months prior there was an update of finer leathers present in FILA’s reissued core classics. May 6th, FILA drops its long awaited Luminous Pack, which is the first introduction of the “Mindbender F” and “Original Tennis 2.0.” Each silhouette carries a rich history but with a new clean look worthy of a glance of today.
First up leading the way is the Original Tennis 2.0, which features a completely reflective upper. The silhouette mirrors that of the 80’s classic with the reflective update resonating well with today’s consumer. Other additions include a bootie extended sock liner, which features memory foam padding. Logos are present on the upper, back counter and traditional patch logo on the tongue. This pair will also have a back and front tab pull for easy fitting. It’s quite evident that the Original Tennis 2.0 will be a fan favorite in 2016. Anchoring the pack is the Mindbender F, which will also be an eye-grabber on foot. The pair features a no-sew upper designed and constructed with air-mesh. The construction is identical to that of the runner from the mid-90’s, with the no-sew upper being a first in this category. The pair sits atop a speckled-rubber midsole and clear rubber outsole. Reflective detailing appears on a back counter tab. The logo placement remains the on the back counter, tongue and angled midsole/upper linear logo. If the Original Tennis 2.0 takes the cake, consumers are sure to love the Mindbender F equally if not a little more.
