The upper of the new UA Slingshot (speed form) features asymmetrical compression zones of varying strength, woven together seamlessly. The zones work together to power the foot through the gait cycle faster. To handle the torque of high-speed running, the team wove two proven performance fabrics into the upper, UA Tech, which has lived in Under Armour performance apparel for years, and Dyneema. Engineered by NASA, Dyneema is stronger than steel but so light that it floats on water. Then, below that, the team built a Pebax propulsion plate into the midsole. Like a launching pad, it maximizes energy at toe-off for explosive movement.
The result is an all-new running system that acts as one big muscle-mimicking compression spring for your foot.
The UA SpeedForm slingshot is on-sale now at UA.com for $139.99 and available in men’s and women’s sizes.
