As of late, Nike has been dressing up some of their more recent signature models like classic basketball sneakers from decades ago. This time around, Nike’s LeBron 13 Command Forces has been inspired by a basketball shoe from 1990. The legendary Nike Air Command Force has a classic silhouette, but the colorway has been borrowed and used on a more modern basketball shoe.
The LeBron 13 “Command Force” features white, light blue, black, gray, and speckled neon green in many of the same ways a the original. The LeBron also shares a black sock lining, and the nostalgic Nike Air logo on the heel. Nike did a great job bringing back a classic with a modern twist. This sneaker is set to launch on June 11th and will be retailing for $200.
The innovative design of the LeBron 13 coupled with the iconic color of a 90’s classic makes for an interesting sneaker. There are so many ways this concept could have gone wrong, but Nike was spot on in their sneaker choice.
